Findern started the season with a 2 - 2 draw against club indio, a team a couple of divisions below.
Findern never really got into their stride and were missing a few influential players due to holiday and work commitments, weddings and being on the run from the Police. Club Indio took the lead with a shot that should have been saved.
On a hot day, Findern worked hard and had a few good chances, but failed to beat the opposition keeper. Just before half time the moaning bugger known as Si Price scored a fantastic equaliser, and Findern were hoping to perform better in the second half.
Alas the second half was just as dire and although Findern created chances, the opposition created more and Findern were lucky to stay in the game. The highlight of the half was a rather entertaining spat between Yank and Azza (Well done lads). Extra time yielded no more goals and it was a penalty shoot out.
Basically we are shit at penalties, Andy Owen, Dobbo and Simon Howell (Spectacularly) all missed, and although they missed a couple too Findern were out at the first hurdle.
